Success Story

Mount St. John

Mount Saint John is deeply committed to its sustainability journey. The Marianist community wanted to achieve Net Zero Energy, which means their solar array will produce 100% of the electricity needed on an annual basis with their 854kW system.

SOLAR SOLUTIONS
Mount Saint John’s solar array is more than just a group of panels; it represents the integration of sustainable technology within an environmentally conscious organization. Covering 3 acres of campus and featuring 1,920 locally made 445 Watt panels, this solar array can produce an impressive 1.1 million kWh of energy each year.

RESULT
In the first year the solar array at Mount Saint John produced 97% of the annual predicted energy generation, and 102% of what was expected based on actual weather conditions. Mount Saint John’s dedication to sustainability and these remarkable accomplishments highlight the institution’s steadfast commitment to a cleaner, greener, and more sustainable future.

“In the first four months of installing solar, we’ve saved over $25,000. In 30 years, we’re going to be sitting on over $3,000,000 worth of savings!”

Harness Solar Power To Serve & Save

Going solar is an expression of faith in action!

We are a full-service commercial solar EPC (Engineering, Procurement, Construction) firm delivering turnkey projects for a seamless customer experience. Melink Solar provides the following services:

Invest In Solar, Invest In Your Mission

Investing in solar can dramatically reduce your energy costs, allowing your religious organization to allocate more resources toward fulfilling its mission. By harnessing the power of the sun, you can lower monthly utility bills, freeing up funds for community programs, charitable outreach, and other vital activities. The financial savings start immediately and grow over time. The average payback period is improving with the 30% Direct Pay, and the financial benefits start early and continue for decades. With rising energy costs, locking in lower energy expenses with solar is a practical step towards financial stability and sustainability for your organization.

Solar Energy: A Smart Financial Decision For Your Faith Community

By choosing solar, your organization can significantly reduce its carbon footprint, aligning with the principles outlined in Laudato Si’, Pope Francis’ encyclical on the environment. Solar energy is not only a financial asset but also a moral one, reflecting your commitment to caring for our common home.

Solar Energy And Your Faith-Based Mission

Your decision to install solar panels is more than just an investment in your facility; it’s an investment in your community and the planet. Many religious organizations, such as the New Prospect Baptist Church in Cincinnati with their 24 kW solar array, have already taken this step towards a more sustainable future. Solar energy aligns with the mission of serving the community by promoting clean, renewable energy.

The 30% Federal Solar Incentives & Direct Pay

Following the Inflation Reduction Act, religious organizations and non-profits qualify for a 30% Federal Solar Incentive, significantly reducing the net costs of installing solar systems. This incentive makes it easier for your organization to embrace renewable energy and realize substantial long-term savings. To learn more about the Federal Solar Incentives check out the most recent information on the Department of Energy website.
