Bifacial Modules
Bifacial solar modules allow light to be collected on both sides of the solar panel. These have many advantages over traditional panels including increased durability and productivity (up to 30% more than standard panels). In addition to increased production, the 25–year power degradation rate has also been reduced so the modules will reliably produce power over the life of the system.
Single-Axis Tracking
Solar trackers are typically used for ground-mounted solar panels and large, free-standing solar installations like solar trees. The trackers can rotate, meaning the axis can be horizontal (most common), tilted, or even vertical. It is common for the maximum allowed angle to be 45 degrees from horizontal in order to get the maximum amount of sunlight throughout the day. Sometimes, at the beginning and end of the day, the tracker reverses direction.
