DHL eCommerce, a division of DHL Group, enhanced its commitment to sustainability by installing a 307 kW rooftop solar array at its new distribution center in Hebron, Kentucky. Completed in 2023 by Melink Solar, the system includes 684 solar panels that generate approximately 25% of the building’s energy needs. This $74 million, state-of-the-art facility—spanning 28,520 square meters—is DHL eCommerce’s largest sorting and cross-dock hub in the U.S., equipped with advanced parcel processing technology. In addition to the solar installation, the center incorporates other green features, such as electric vehicle charging stations, a rainwater retention system, and recycled construction materials, further reinforcing DHL’s focus on sustainability and innovation in logistics.
